Born in Pennsylvania in 1936, Gary Agar had a strong desire to draw at a young age. Throughout his young adult life he loved to work with pastel, but in time stopped because he felt his work was not good enough.

Not until Gary was in his 40's did he become serious about his art. He started a program of self instruction, studying other artist's techniques and works for many years and finally developing a style of his own.

Gary also specializes in pet immortalization. Through his canvas your pet will always be by your side.

His creations are designed for the relaxation of the mind. He is a realist and some of his works may be seen on the next pages of this website. Gary is from another time and place and through his work he would like to take you there.
